Roll of Honour 1915 to 1919, Search Engine.

Searches in the Roll of Honour can be made using Regimental No, Surname, Cemetery/Memorial or date (dd/mm/yyyy). To see all entries in the database, just hit "Search".

The Roll of Honour database was originally set up using the Roll of Officers, Non-Commissioned Officers and Men Killed In Action, from The War Record of the 1/4th Battalion Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire Light Infantry, compiled by MAJOR P. PICKFORD, D.S.O., M.C. Printed at the "Banbury Guardian" Office in 1919.

Additional information has been added from various other sources, including the War Diary of the 1/4th Oxford and Bucks, Medal Cards, De Ruvigny's Roll of Honour, Oxford Journal and Service Records where they have been found.

Where Bodies have been exhumed and reburied, references relate to co-ordinates on British Trench maps.

The current Roll of Honour also includes men who served with 1/4th Oxford and Buckinghamshire Light Infantry, but died with other Battalions. Also men who died at home.

Others who served 1915 to 1919, Search Engine.

The "Others" database also used as its starting point, the The War Record of the 1/4th Battalion Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire Light Infantry, also the War Diary of the 1/4th Oxford and Bucks Light Infantry, Medal Cards, Oxford Journal, Service and Pension Records. Thanks to Barry Burnham who has been a great help in compiling some of the details in a number of cases, in both databases.
