  • Accessibility and Assistance

    There is a bell in the entrance hall to call for assistance. Your host is available between 8am and 6pm.


    There are 4 stone steps leading up to the main entrance from the concrete path. Unfortunately we are unable to offer level access and owing to listed status planning restrictions we are not in a position to make changes.


    Outside, the building and entrance are floodlit at night.


    Inside, the stairwells and communal areas are well lit and on the Ground Floor. Bedrooms are on the 1st, 2nd and 3rd Floor. Unfortunately there is no lift.


    You will be shown to your room and we will go through the facilities that are available. 


    We are more than happy to assist you with your luggage.


    In the Dining room our tables are square. The chairs do not have arms, are fairly light and can be repositioned.


    Parking & Travel

    Public parking on the rounds, and public car parks are nearby. We have no on-site parking, and have nowhere to store large items such as bicycles.


    The coach station drop of is nearby, and the train station a short taxi drive away.

  • Check-in and Check-out

    Check-in is between 3pm and 6pm on your day of arrival.


    Check-out is by 10am on your day of departure.


    Guests are provided with 2 keys,  one to your room and another for both of the doors at the main entrance. 


    Please remember to return your keys when checking-out. 

  • Guest Areas and Access

    The main entrance takes you into the front hall, wth access to the breakfast room and stairs up to the guest rooms.


    The breakfast room has a level floor, covered in short pile fitted carpets.


    Guest bedrooms are arranged on the three upper floors. There are 2 flights of stairs per floor (9 steps and then 7 steps). The stairs have fitted short pile carpets. Unfortunately there is no lift.


    To aid privacy and security, the bed and breakfast is not open to the public. Non-guests can only be admitted by prior agreement.


    Guests are provided with 2 keys,  one to your room and another for the main entrance. These must be returned at check out.


    Free WiFi is available to our guests. Connection details are found on the notice on the back of your bedroom door.

  • Breakfast & Food

    The Breakfast room is open between 8am and 9am. Sitting times are allocated in 15 minute intervals as breakfast is made to order and space is limited. Earlier check-ins tend to have greater choice of  times.


    Breakfast comprises cereals, toast and/or full english breakfast (vegatarian options are available).


    Dietry Requirements - Please inform us  24 hours in advance, if you have any specific dietary requirements, be that lifestyle choice, allergies or intolerances. We will do our very best to meet your needs.


    Eating Take Away and/or Hot  Food in Rooms is not allowed, If you wish to eat, contact Nicola before 6pm, to obtain access to the breakfast room. 


    In the event that food is eaten in the bedroom a £20 surcharge will be applied to cover extra cleaning.

  • Guest Bedrooms

    All the guest bedrooms at the front  have a beach and sea view, whilst our rooms at the rear have views over the harbour.


    All of our double rooms are ensuite, with showers. Family, Twin and Single rooms share some toilet facilities.


    Bedrooms are located on the 1st, 2nd and 3rd Floors.


    All our bedrooms have:

    • Secure lockable doors
    • Been decorated in light colours and are well lit
    • Fully fitted shortpile carpets
    • Radiators with individual temperature controls
    • Hospitality tray
    • Free WiFi available
    • Additional bedside and shaving mirror lighting
    • Iron and ironing boards available on request
    • Hairdryers  available on request.

    Eating Take Away and/or Hot  Food in Rooms is not allowed, If you wish to eat, contact Nicola before 6pm, to obtain access to the breakfast room. 


    In the event that food is eaten in the bedroom a £20 surcharge will be applied to cover extra cleaning.

  • Ensuite, WCs and Shower Cubicles

    Guests are provided with towels and complimentary toiletries.


    All utility areas have laminate flooring.


    Shower cubicles have  a stepover edge of about 14cm high.


    Toilets and wash basins are at a typical height.

  • Restrictions

    Weymouth Sands  is a non-smoking building. Neither Smoking nor Vaping is allowed anywhere on or around the premises (this includes sitting on the steps by the front door).


    Pets. Unfortunately we are unable to accommodate pets, our property just isn't suitable.


    Eating Take Away and/or Hot  Food in Rooms is not allowed, If you wish to eat, contact Nicola before 6pm, to obtain access to the breakfast room.

    All guests are entitled to reasonable expectation of privacy and security. In addition to a guesthouse bed and breakfast, Weymouth Sands is our home. The  public have no right of entry, or any other right, to our property unless we have given our express permission to do so.


    Weymouth Sands Guesthouse is in a Grade II listed building, meaning there are restrictions on what can/cannot be changed. It is with regret that we point out this B&B really isn't suitable for those with limited mobility, there are steps into the building and stairs to the bedrooms which are on the 1st, 2nd and 3rd floors.

  • Notices and Signs

    We all know, that endless notices and signs all over the place can be counter productive, untidy, annoying... need we say more. 


    We do aim to edit and make sure notices are focussed in a couple of places, so as not to overwhelm and intrude unneccesarily. 


    The notices in your room are important, please take a couple of minutes to read them, take note, etc. Then you'll know what's what and all will be well.
